Dick '67 and Kris Frieberg Hughey '68

At Gettysburg, Dick Hughey '67 kept busy with studies in economics, wrestling team practices and meets, and membership in Phi Delta Theta and Pi Lambda Sigma. Kris Frieberg Hughey '68 completed her major in French and was an active Chi Omega member. After graduation, they each went on to law school and careers in law, but neither forgot the importance of Gettysburg in their lives.

As one expression of her gratitude, Kris served on the Board of Trustees for 11 years, and the couple has also given back financially. "We have made outright gifts, a gift of life insurance and now a charitable gift annuity," Dick says.

The couple is particularly enthusiastic about the benefits of their charitable gift annuity. "All baby boomers should consider a charitable gift annuity—it's a win-win situation," Dick explains. "We receive an immediate income tax deduction and dependable income for the rest of our lives, and Gettysburg will receive the financial support we desire to provide."
